Freedom House will host its first Black Boys Forum on Saturday, October 18th from 11:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. Students ranging in age from 12 – 22 will engage in discussions with 25 local, professional men of color on diverse topics which include defining your “Blackness” and your identity, current events, code switching and professionalism, etc.
The forum’s goal is to provide a safe space and atmosphere for black men to discuss the struggles based on their self-identity. Participating young men are provided a vocal outlet and chance to connect with other young men and professionals which can foster long-lasting bonds.
Lunch will be provided along with Kinship, Guidance and a chance to make a Positive Change and Form Lasting Relationships.
